You do YOU!
Parenting is no easy feat. With so many blogs, articles, podcasts and posts out there, we are on parental information overload. I get it, kiddos don’t come with an instruction manual. Therefore, we are left seeking out input from any and everywhere. Should my baby have baby food or do baby led weaning? What preschool has the best curriculum? Should my middle schooler have a cell phone yet? When can my high schooler go on a date? Questions and worries. So many questions and worries. We are all going to go through this parenting journey differently. Kind of like cooking and finances- no two people do it the same.
So lets be encouraged today. You do YOU!
What makes us good parents is listening to our intuition and trusting that gut of ours and what makes us good parents is turning to the Lord in time of uncertainty and allowing him to speak into us. Luke 12:7 tells us, “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” A constant reminder I’ve had in my quiet time lately is that God cares about details. Just read Exodus, you’ll see. 😉 If God cares so intricately about our lives, we can rest assured that he certainly cares about our questions and worries when it comes to raising these tiny humans.
So lets agree to stop getting caught up in the over indulgence of information out there. Lets tune our spirit into the spirit of our Father. You continue to do YOU. That’s what you’ll do best. YOU are the best parent for your child and there’s a reason God chose YOU to raise the kiddos you have.
Go mama. Go daddy. You do YOU!
Thanks for taking a ‘snippet’ from our world!
